I am releasing a complete rewrite to my old screenplayformat script. This is a perl script that takes a text file formatted in a fairly loose way, and outputs an rtf file that follows standard screenplay formatting conventions.

Download a sample text file with instructions:
View the sample in rtf format:
(You should download this file, it does not look right when viewed in a web browser…)
I uploaded an Applescript Studio GUI version of the scripts as well (needs some updating of the documentation however):
