Antispam Plugin

This is another plugin for Blosxom. Antispam converts any email addresses it finds in the body of your stories into ASCII code to try and prevent harvesting by the “spambots”.

Download plugin:

For example:

someaddress@somedomain

Becomes:

someaddr ess@some domain

The idea is that it shows up normally when viewed in a web browser, but that many spambots have not been programmed to understand the information. I don’t guarantee that this will keep your email address spam free, but it can’t hurt, right?

Note: As of right now, this does not change any email addresses in Writebacks. I would like to enable this, but need to figure out how to patch into the writeback html from a plugin. If anyone has done this, drop me a line.

Also, should you wish to disable this in a particular story, just include in your story to disable Antispam.
