Do we never learn?

In the last week, I have seen articles describing how we are going to solve our energy problems by using wind power, or power from the underwater currents that exist throughout most of the oceans….

If anything should seem evident by now, it’s that screwing with nature on a massive scale tends to have a knock-on effect (I’ve always wanted to use that phrase somewhere.)

Does anyone else think that maybe it’s not a great idea to simultaneously start slowing down the global currents that exist in the atmosphere and the ocean? That maybe this could have additional unforeseen consequences on climate? Are we really this oblivious?

Oh well….
